In the Pitching In Southern League Division One South, Frome Town took advantage of Wimborne Town and Cribbs having their games postponed as they came from behind to beat a brave challenge from Exmouth Town.
A goal midway through the opening period from Michael Landricombe gave the Devon visitors the lead which they held until early in the second half when Roy Simpson levelled the scores. The winning goal came from Marcus Day on 73 minutes.
Moving into the top five are Bideford after a hat-trick from Mattie Buchan inspired them to a 4-1 victory over Bishops Cleeve. Stephen Davies had equalised for the visitors as half-time approached but they had no answer to the Robins after the break as Lewis Hill hit their fourth goal in stoppage time at the end.
There was a good win for Westbury United as they beat Bemerton Heath Harlequins 2-0 thanks to goals in each half from Bevan Cross and Aaron Cockerill.
With four games falling victim of the freezing winter weather conditions, the other two games that did take place ended with honours even as Mousehole and Larkhall Athletic played out a 1-1 draw with Tim Nixon’s opener for the hosts cancelled out by Archie Ferris in first half stoppage time.
It was the same scoreline at Melksham Town where visitors, Evesham United, equalised in the final minute through Aaron Heap after Albert Hopkins had opened the scoring for the hosts on the hour-mark.
