MELKSHAM TOWN | BUSY WEEK

Hard work behind-the-scenes at Division One South club

It’s been a busy week for Melksham Town manager, Mark Collier, as he adds reinforcements to his squad in preparation for what is going to be a busy period ahead.

The Pitching In Southern League Division One South outfit have drawn their last three League games and find themselves in the bottom half of the table.

They have added Marcel and Otis Lewis on dual registration from Chippenham Town, whilst promising youngster, Theo Lynden, has returned on loan from Bristol Rovers and they have been able to secure the services of no-nonsense front-man, Ben Bament, from Bristol Manor Farm, whom they face at home on Saturday.

“It’s been a busy couple of days,” admitted Collier to his club’s media. “There has been a lot of hard working going on behind-the-scenes and I am pleased with the outcome.

“We’ve been able to add competition for places to the squad, which is good. Marcel, Otis and Theo have been with us before, so we know what they bring, whilst Ben has always done well against us and is fit and raring to go for the weekend.

“We know that it will be a physical and competitive game on Saturday and we’re ready for that. We go into it in good spirits and it will be nice to be back on home soil.

“Hopefully we can get our festive programme of matches underway on the right foot. We’ve got a competitive squad now and that’s what we need if we are to be successful and start climbing the table.”
