Harrow Borough will be supporting two local charities at their local derby with Hendon on Boxing Day.
The Pitching In Southern League Premier South club will be supporting the Firm Foundation, a local homeless charity, and Tanglewood Club, who have been providing leisure activities for people with disabilities since 1965 and hold their Monday Club at the club’s stadium each week.
As part of their support, the club are asking for donations of winter clothing, toiletries and other essentials to be brought to their home games on Boxing Day and January 6th against Hanwell Town. There will be a drop-off point for the items next to the turnstiles.
As a thank you, the club is offering reduced admission prices for both games, if tickets are purchased online and in advance.
“Last year, supporters were very generous with their donations to Firm Foundation and the Hendon game is a particularly apt one to raise funds for Tanglewood Club as they were very kind and supportive during the time they ground shared with us,” said James Clouting, Harrow Borough’s Community Outreach Lead. “We were already looking forward to two local derbies over the festive period, but even more so now with the admission discounts that we are able to offer to supporters.
“There is something for everyone and as well as families, we are also hoping to attract supporters from London Premier League and EFL clubs who are either playing away or have no fixture on the days of our games.”
