Olaf Koszela chose the right time to get back on the scoresheet as his seven-minute hat-trick earned Dorchester Town a big three points in the Pitching In Southern League Premier South from their 3-2 victory over third-placed Merthyr Town at the weekend.
The Welsh club led going into the second half before Koszela opened his account just before the hour-mark and never looked back.
“I don’t think I’ll ever score three goals that quickly again,” the 21 year-old told his local media. “I haven’t scored in a while, so I was certainly due a goal!
“I am really happy to have been able to help the team get what is a much-needed win. It’s the first time that we’ve been able to get back-to-back victories this season and that is massive for us because of the position that we find ourselves in.
“We had 11 men out there fighting for everything and with the fans right behind us to get us through, we were able to get the three points and the hope now is that we can get ourselves on a bit of a run.
“We have to keep at it, continue to work hard and take this belief into the next game, which sees us travel to take on another side in the play-off places, AFC Totton, on Tuesday evening in what will be another tough test for us.”
After their trip to AFC Totton, the Magpies host Plymouth Parkway on Saturday.
