Tiverton Town picked up their first away win since November on Saturday as their 3-2 triumph at Hendon saw them move out of the Pitching In Southern League Premier South relegation zone.
Weighing in with two of the goals to take his tally up to an impressive 12 for the season was Jack Rice-Lethaby.
“It’s always great to be part of a winning side, especially when the three points moved us out of the bottom four,” admitted the 24 year-old. “Hendon didn’t make it easy for us, but we showed great strength and professionalism to battle out a big three points.
“I was buzzing to get two goals and add to my tally but more importantly, there’s a growing energy amongst the team and hopefully it can take us on a positive run of results.
“It’s a case of pulling together because the standard of this League is very high this season. It seems more unpredictable than ever in terms of results; everyone is capable of beating each other.
“With the players we have and the support of this management team, there is no reason why we can’t continue moving up the table.
“If we can get a run together and I can play my part with goals, that will be will be great.”
The Devon club are back on home soil at the weekend as they welcome Winchester City. This game will see the club offer free admission to all players and accompanying parent/carer of local junior club, Twyford Spartans Youth.
“We are great supporters of youth football and see our close relationship with them as win-win for both of us, as well as for the town of Tiverton,” said Tiverton Town Vice-Chairman Matthew Conridge. “It underlines our commitment to be a club for the local community, immersed in the local community, and run by the local community.”
