In the Pitching In Southern League Division One Central, leaders Bedford Town were held to a 1-1 draw at Cirencester Town.
A Leon Lobjoit effort put the visitors ahead just before the hour but they were unable to hold onto their lead as Luca Robinson ensured it was honours even with a goal ten minutes from time.
It was a good day for Biggleswade Town who are now second after a commanding 4-0 triumph at Kidlington. Jonathan Lacey was the hero with a hat-trick within the opening half-an-hour before Bernard Christie rounded things off in the second period.
There was a heavy defeat for a much-changed North Leigh at Kings Langley, for whom Sam Murphy hit a hat-trick in a 5-1 success for his side. Murphy hit the opener, which was cancelled out within three minutes by Michael Hopkins, before adding his second before Louie Collier notched a third before the break. After Murphy added another, Rayan Clarke rounded things off in the closing stages.
Waltham Abbey are amongst the leading pack but they were hit by a 6-2 home defeat by AFC Dunstable. Ben Weyman and Daniel Idiakhoa put the visitors two up within the opening 30 minutes but Billy Holland pulled one back just before the break and then Prince Domafriyie levelled early in the second half. This only acted to spark the visitors back into life as Callum Nicolson regained the lead for them and Arnold Matshazi weighed in with a quickfire brace. Ethan Holt rounded off the scoring with a sixth goal.
Winning away were Aylesbury United who had David Pearce and Kennedy Feyi to thank for a 2-1 win at Hadley, for whom Alvin Kyeremeh got their goal. Meanwhile a 20th minute effort from Sonny Coughlin-Brown gave Hertford Town the points from their trip to Thame United.
The day’s other action saw Stotfold and Ware play out a 1-1 draw. Henry Snee put the hosts ahead only for Richard Ennin to equalise right at the death.
The games between Biggleswade FC and Barton Rovers and Kempston Rovers and Leighton Town were postponed.
