Pitching In Southern League Division One South leaders, Wimborne Town, were pushed all the way by Tavistock as it took a late goal to give them a 3-2 success.
Matthew Neale gave the home side the lead but it was cancelled out by Jacob Bowker within five minutes. The opening exchanges of the second period saw Billy Walker regain the lead for the hosts but they were pegged back again by Alex Battle with just 15 minutes to go. Josh Carmichael popped up to win it with seven minutes to go.
Second-place Frome Town had a James Ollis goal to thank for a 1-0 away win at Bideford, whilst Cribbs had to settle for a point from a 2-2 draw at Mousehole, for whom Mark Goldsworthy gave them an early lead. Ryan Crouch and Jacob Brown were able to turn the scoreline around only for Timothy Nixon to equalise right at the death.
Returning to winning ways were Bemerton Heath Harlequins who beat Larkhall Athletic 2-1. Daniel Young and Remus Nixon put them two goals to the good in the first half and although Jack Goodall pulled on back early in the second period, it was not enough for the visitors.
A late winner from Elliot Haffenden on his debut gave Melksham Town all three points against Bishops Cleeve, whilst Bashley pulled off an important 2-1 success at Paulton Rovers. The home side took the lead from the penalty spot through Edward Butcher but Conor Whiteley and Luke Delaney turned the scoreline around.
