The Easter weekend starts with games split between Good Friday and Saturday. Here’s our pick of the action
HUNGERFORD TOWN v BRACKNELL TOWN | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER SOUTH
These two play-off chasers sit side-by-side in the table, level on points and just two points off the play-off zone. The home side go into the game on the back of two good away wins over the past week and face opponents who are on a three-game winning run and playing with plenty of belief. It promises to be a competitive encounter. Both teams will be looking to keep their play-off dreams alive here.
HITCHIN TOWN v NEEDHAM MARKET | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER CENTRAL
With a new manager at the helm, the home team ended a run of 12 straight defeats with a hard-earned draw against AFC Telford in their last outing and now they face the challenge of the League leaders who are smarting from defeat in their last game at the hands of Bromsgrove Sporting, only their fourth in 34 League games. Both teams are desperate for the points for different reasons at either end of the table.
PAULTON ROVERS v CRIBBS | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE SOUTH
This local derby pits two teams together who are desperate for the points. The home side have proven to be harder to beat recently as three successive draws testifies but they need wins in order to move away from the relegation zone. Meanwhile the visitors are battling to keep on the coat-tails of the top two and have a victory and a draw from their last two games. Both teams have had recent managerial changes.
BEDFORD TOWN v WALTHAM ABBEY | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE CENTRAL
The home side were able to get back into winning ways on Tuesday evening following three straight defeats to sit just two points off of top spot, a position that they have held for the majority of the campaign. They take on opponents who hold the final play-off place with a four-point advantage over the team directly below them. Their victory last weekend came after they had failed to win in their previous three outings. Both sides will be determined to build on their wins.
The action continues on Bank Holiday Monday with a full programme of games.
