AYLESBURY UNITED | MIXED SEASON FOR FEYI

Ken Feyi reflects on 2023/24

Having returned to Aylesbury United in October, having previously served the club in 2019/2020, Ken Feyi, went on to break through the 50-appearance mark for the club on his way to helping the Ducks retain their Pitching In Southern League Division One Central status.

“We went on to achieve our objective despite having to deal with a managerial change at a key point in the season,” he told us. “The boys did well to stick together and get the job done.

“I came back here a third of the way through the season and was able to play my part but in fairness, it was a mixed season for me.

“I am someone who holds themselves to high standards and although I think that my overall performance levels were good, there were a couple of personal targets that I didn’t quite hit.

“Division One Central was as competitive as it has ever been. There are a lot of good teams involved with everyone capable of taking points off each other on their day.

“The race for promotion and survival went down to the wire, so I think that shows how tightly contested it was from top to bottom.

“It took a real collective effort from us to avoid the drop.”
