Popular defender suffers double leg break

Mousehole have been rocked by a serious injury to popular defender, Josh Otto.

The 24 year-old, who joined the club in 2016 and has been a dependable figure as they have climbed up through the levels to reach the Pitching In Southern League Division One South, suffered an horrific double leg break during a pre-season friendly against Newquay on Tuesday evening.

“Josh is quite simply the most underrated football and brilliant human you could meet,” said Mousehole manager, Jake Ash. “It was horrible seeing such a bad thing happen to such a brilliant person.

“He now has to have an operation to fit a metal rod in his leg. What’s more, away from football, he will have to be off work for a substantial amount of time and as he works within the hospitality industry, this would be the time when he's at his busiest.

“We are hoping that the football community can come together and help Josh relieve some of the stress that this will undoubtedly cause.

“A GoFundMe page has been set up; please share and help if you are able to.”
