The action this week is predominantly in the Pitching In Southern League Premier South and Central, with the Isuzu FA Trophy second round qualifying meaning that there is a restricted programme of fixtures in Division One South and Central.
Here’s our pick of the action:
POOLE TOWN v WALTON & HERSHAM | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER SOUTH
The home side have won three of their six League games and sit just outside the leading pack with a game in hand on most teams around them. They are keen to get back into League action having suffered a heavy defeat in their last Premier South outing a fortnight ago. They take on opponents who sit second with five wins from seven but were held at home in their last League game, so as such a keenly-fought encounter is in prospect here.
ALVECHURCH v STAMFORD | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER CENTRAL
The top two go head-to-head here. The home side have picked up three 1-0 wins in a row to make it five successes in eight League games so far. They went top last weekend in the wake of Stamford’s defeat at AFC Sudbury. With two defeats from their last three outings, the visitors will be keen to rediscover their early season form which saw them burst out of the blocks. It’s going to be quite a tussle here.
There are just two games taking place in Division One South and three games in Division One Central as we wish all of our Member Clubs involved in the Isuzu FA Trophy second round qualifying all of the best in their quest to progress in the competition.
You will be able to read about all of the action in our Saturday Evening E-Newspaper, which will be available as a FREE download from around 7.30pm on Saturday. This week’s edition features a fascinating exclusive interview with Helston Athletic Director of Football, Steve Massey, amongst all of the usual reports, statistics and news.
