FOUR TO FOLLOW | WEEKEND ACTION

Our pick of the games from a busy weekend

We’re back with a full schedule of across all four divisions this weekend. Here is our pick of the action.

AFC TOTTON v GLOUCESTER CITY | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER SOUTH
The current top two go head-to-head. Both teams have lost just one of their 11 League outings so far and just two points separate them. The hosts came home from Plymouth Parkway with a 2-1 win on Tuesday evening, whilst the visitors tasted victory for the third League game in a row as they overcome the challenge of Frome Town by two goals to nil during the week. It’s all set for a hard-fought battle.

KETTERING TOWN v AFC SUDBURY | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER CENTRAL
There’s a buzz around Kettering Town at the moment and they go into this game sat in second place in the table and on the back of a four-game winning League run, which included a come-from-behind success at Bromsgrove Sporting in their last outing on Tuesday evening. They face upwardly-mobile opponents whose last game saw them win 2-1 at Redditch United to sit just outside the top ten.

EVESHAM UNITED v MOUSEHOLE | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE SOUTH
Two teams in the top five go head-to-head here. The hosts are now up to third in the table following a 3-2 win at Bashley last weekend which made it three League games unbeaten, during which time they have been playing some good football. As for the visitors, they are eager to bounce back from a home defeat at the hands of Melksham Town in their last game having seen Tuesday’s scheduled home clash with Westbury United postponed. A good footballing encounter is in prospect.

BARTON ROVERS v HADLEY | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE CENTRAL
Having seen their unbeaten start to the season brought to a shuddering halt with a heavy home defeat last time out, this will be a big test of the character for Hadley as they face a tough test at a side whose fortunes have started to improve recently. That said, Barton will be looking to respond in the right way to defeat of their own in their last League outing, so an intriguing encounter awaits.

There is plenty of great action this weekend and don’t forget that reports on ALL League games will appear in the latest edition of our Saturday Evening E-Newspaper, which will also include features, news and stats. It will be available as a FREE download from around 7.30pm on Saturday.
