FOUR TO FOLLOW | WEEKEND ACTION

A look at the best of this weekend's games

As we edge ever nearer to the busy festive period, there is plenty of fine action to look forward to this weekend across our four divisions.
Here’s our pick of the action:

GLOUCESTER CITY v CHERTSEY TOWN | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER SOUTH
The home side will be looking to strengthen their position within the top three against opponents who go into the game just outside the play-off places and on the back of an Isuzu FA Trophy victory over Dagenham & Redbridge in midweek. Gloucester have drawn three of their last five League games, whilst the visitors will have come up against each of the top three in what has been a tough run of recent fixtures.

STAMFORD v STRATFORD TOWN | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER CENTRAL
Just a point separates these two teams going into the game as they sit just in and around the play-off places. The home side currently sit sixth, they won their last game having previously gone three League games without a victory. They face fourth-place opponents who have won their last two games 1-0 and have the joint-best defensive record in the League with just 16 goals conceded from their 18 games.

BEMERTON HEATH HARLEQUINS v YATE TOWN | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE SOUTH
One defeat from their last six League games has seen the home team move up the table to now sit just a point shy of the top five. They will provide a good test to the leaders who have just two defeats from their 19 League games so far. They bounced back from defeat in their previous game with a commanding 4-0 away win at Shaftesbury in their last outing, whilst for Bemerton Heath Harlequins they battled out a 1-0 triumph at Cribbs in their last outing.

BARTON ROVERS v THAME UNITED | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE CENTRAL
It’s fourth against sixth here as the in-form hosts go into the game boasting four straight League victories amidst a run of nine unbeaten. They claimed a 3-1 away triumph at Aylesbury United in their last League outing earlier this month and now face opponents who sit three points and two places below them. Thame have lost just one of their last five League games, including wins in each of their last two games.
