HALESOWEN TOWN | TEE'S UP

There is plenty of positivity at the Premier Central club according to Conor Tee

A 5-0 away win last weekend means that Halesowen Town go into the festive period in good spirits.

The West Midlands club sit second in the Pitching In Southern League Premier Central table with confidence high according to Conor Tee, who was amongst the goals in Saturday’s convincing victory at Barwell.

“The performance was very encouraging,” he told us. “We know that we’re capable of doing this on our travels as we’ve done it once before this season.

“It was a test of our character as we’d lost at Royston Town in our previous game a few days previously, so we knew that we needed to deliver a response and we did just that to secure a good three points.

“We’ve started the season positively. This is such a tough League, so to be sitting second shows how well we have done so far.

“There’s still a long way to go, of course, and plenty of football coming up, so it’s important that we keep pushing on to make sure that we stay in amongst it.

“I’ve been happy with my own form; I always try to be creative and pop up with goals and assists, so long may that continue.

“This period of the season is always exciting for me; the big games come thick and fast and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into them.

“Having played at this level for a few years now, it’s such a challenging and demanding competition, you can’t underestimate anyone and you only have to look at the table to see how close it is.

“The key thing is to stay consistent, both individually and collectively, and just keep putting points on the board as we have been doing over the season so far.

“If we can maintain the standards that we have set ourselves then it will give us the best possible chance of being successful come the end of the season.”

The Yeltz return to home soil on Saturday with the visit of Redditch United before heading to AFC Telford United on Boxing Day.
