Ahead of Saturday’s game, Bishops Cleeve received their PST Sport Club of the Month award for February 2025 following a successful month for the Pitching In Southern League Division One South club.
Southern League Chair, David Martin, was on hand to present the award to manager, Paul Collicutt, and Vice-Chairman, Clive Rawlings.
A Ross Langworthy double made it a winning start to the month as they beat Westbury United 2-0. It was followed up by an emphatic 9-0 victory over Helston Athletic in their next game as Langworthy helped himself to a hat-trick, alongside further strikes from Aaron Evans-Harriott, Joseph Jeremiah, Ethan Dunbar, James Harding, Jay Malshankskyj and Ben McLean.
The scoreline was a bit closer in their next outing, although they had to wait until stoppage time at the end to win 1-0 at Didcot Town to end the month with three important points in their quest to finish in the top five.
