FOUR TO FOLLOW | WEEKEND PREVIEW

Our pick of the action coming up this weekend

The last weekend in March and there is plenty of drama and intrigue across all four of our divisions.

Here is our pick of the action:

AFC TOTTON v DORCHESTER TOWN | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER SOUTH
Two of the top five battle it out here as the hosts look to bounce back from last weekend’s late loss at Hanwell Town in order to maintain the pressure on the leaders, who are now nine points clear of them having played a game more. For the visitors, they have responded to a four-game winless run by securing victories in their last two outings, including an emphatic 6-0 victory over Marlow last weekend.

HARBOROUGH TOWN v HALESOWEN TOWN | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER CENTRAL
Following Tuesday’s draw at Bromsgrove Sporting, the hosts have seen their eight-match unbeaten run thrust them into the top five on goal difference. They will be given a stern test from the visit of opponents who sit at the top of the table, six points above them. Halesowen Town have won their last four games in a row amidst a seven-match unbeaten run. Only ten points separate the whole of the top nine so this is sure to be a tense and hard-fought affair.

YATE TOWN v BEMERTON HEATH HARLEQUINS | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE SOUTH
The long-time League leaders have seen their advantage cut to just three points following a run of one win from their last five games. Last weekend they were held to a 1-1 draw with Bideford AFC, their third draw from their last five outings, and now face opponents who arrive in fourth place in the table on the back of four straight wins, including successive 1-0 triumphs over play-off rivals, Exmouth Town and Bishops Cleeve.

THAME UNITED v BARTON ROVERS | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE CENTRAL
This encounter pits the hosts, who sit one place and one point outside of the play-off zone, against opponents who are fourth and eager to strengthen their position within the leading pack. The home team are six games unbeaten but have been held to draws in each of their last two outings, including a goalless draw at AFC Dunstable on Tuesday. Meanwhile Barton Rovers left it late to get a point at Northwood on Tuesday evening, extending their unbeaten run to eight games.
