There are sure to be more thrills and spills this weekend as, just like the weather, things start to hot up.
Here’s our pick of the weekend action:
DORCHESTER TOWN v WALTON & HERSHAM | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER SOUTH
The hosts slipped out of the top five after conceding an equaliser deep into stoppage time to draw 3-3 at Gloucester City last weekend. It proved to be their second draw in a row having previously shared the spoils at AFC Totton and leaves them one point off the play-off places. They come up against opponents who are third with 70 points to their name having gone 16 League games unbeaten. They came from behind to beat the in-form Wimborne Town in their last outing.
STRATFORD TOWN v STAMFORD AFC | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER CENTRAL
These two teams have a place in the play-offs in their sights. The visitors go into the game in fifth place, the last spot, but they are only two points ahead of their hosts who are in seventh place. Stratford Town have drawn their last two games and are without a win in six League outings, whilst the away team left it late to beat Bishop’s Stortford last weekend, and in doing so end a two-game run without a victory.
MOUSEHOLE v YATE TOWN | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE SOUTH
With the battle for the title raging on, leaders, Yate Town, face a tough trip to fourth-placed Mousehole who themselves are involved in a battle to secure their place in the play-offs. The hosts were held to a home draw by Bashley last weekend having let a late lead slip to drop two crucial points. Meanwhile Yate had two second half goals to thank as they got back into winning ways at Helston Athletic, a result which leaves them three points clear at the top.
LEVERSTOCK GREEN v THAME UNITED | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE CENTRAL
This encounter impacts both ends of the table. At the bottom there are four clubs battling to avoid two available relegation places and one of those clubs is Leverstock Green. They have found some form with four wins from their last six games, including successive wins and clean sheets in their last two outings. They face opponents who are battling it out to make the play-offs and currently hold the last remaining place. On Tuesday they lost at Northwood, another club battling to avoid the drop, so will be eager for an instant response here.
