NAME: Jody Grabham
AGE: 44
CLUB: Taunton Town
HOW LONG HAVE YOU SUPPORTED YOUR CLUB AND HOW DID YOUR SUPPORT FIRST BEGIN? Since about 1995 when I first watched a pre-season friendly against Exeter City.
HOW WOULD YOU ASSESS THE 2024/25 SEASON FOR YOUR CLUB? It was a rebuild and consolidate season with a whole new squad, management team and new faces on the board. A mid-table finish was undoubtedly the aim, which was achieved and a run in the FA Cup, taking a National League side to a replay was the icing on the cake.
WHO WAS YOUR CLUB’S BEST PLAYER IN 2024/25 AND WHY? Alfie Moulden got all the awards, he took to a central midfield position like a duck to water. I always thought he was more of an attacking midfielder or winger. Tom Smith finished as our top goalscorer and had a solid campaign too.
WHO WERE THE BEST OPPOSING TEAM IN 2024/25? Merthyr Town, although we ran them close in both games.
WHO WAS THE BEST OPPOSING PLAYER IN 2024/25? Jack Mazzone of Chertsey Town always does well against us and this season was no different.
FAVOURITE AWAY GROUND AND WHY? Dorchester Town. I love the architecture of the stadium and there are a couple nice real ale pubs in town too!
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT IN 2024/25? Winning away at neighbours, Tiverton Town, on Boxing Day was a nice moment.
HOPES FOR 2025/26? Another season in the top half of the table, to get to the first round proper of the FA Cup and have an FA Trophy run too, that will do for me.
