As the start of the new season edges ever nearer, Scott Adey-Linforth is looking forward to his first full season in charge of Bromsgrove Sporting.
Stepping up from the coaching staff to take over at the helm on a permanent basis in November 2024, the 30 year-old, who combines his role at the Pitching In Southern League Premier Central club with that of first-team performance analyst at FA Premier League outfit, Aston Villa, is ready for what promises to be a mouth-watering campaign ahead.
“The Premier Central is going to be such a competitive League this season and I can’t wait to tackle it,” he told us. “There are plenty of local derbies, which the players and fans are buzzing about, and every game will provide its own challenges.
“We’re excited to take it on; we showed last season that we are capable of going toe-to-toe with anyone in this division and it’s going to be no different this time around.
“There is a lot of quality about and some big money being paid out at this level, but we’ll give it everything we’ve got to be able to compete and build on the positives.
“Preparations have gone well this summer. There has been quite a bit of change amongst the playing staff, as there always is, but I’m pleased with the work we’ve done. We’re getting fitter and fitter with each new game and, touch wood, have so far picked up no injuries.
“Going into the new season, this League is always difficult to predict; there are always one or two surprise packages, which makes things even more exciting.”
