The Good Friday action saw plenty going on throughout our four divisions.
In the Premier South, leaders, Walton & Hersham, had a day to forget as they fell to a 3-0 defeat at Taunton Town, who are battling to avoid the drop. It meant that Gloucester City were able to close the gap to 15 points with their 2-1 triumph at Hanwell Town after they recovered from falling behind early on.
Third-placed Farnham Town battled out a 1-0 away win at Wimborne Town, whilst Poole Town shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Evesham United. Remaining in fifth place are Sholing who secured a 2-1 victory over Tiverton Town, who had their relegation confirmed. They hold a two-point advantage over Berkhamsted, who won 3-2 at Dorchester Town.
Over in the Premier Central, seven of the top eight won. Leaders, Harborough Town, came from behind to secure a 2-1 success at St. Ives Town. Second-placed Spalding United also had to come from behind as they beat Stourbridge 3-1.
The only losers were Real Bedford who succumbed 2-1 at Kettering Town who hold the final play-off place. Sandwiched in between are Redditch United, who had a good 4-1 victory over Leiston.
The battle is still on for a top five berth with Quorn getting a single-goal success against AFC Sudbury, who hit the bottom of the table, Halesowen Town claiming a 3-1 success against Stamford AFC and Needham Market 1-0 victors over Bromsgrove Sporting.
Into Division One South, Frome Town reached 98 points as they won 3-0 at Sporting Club Inkberrow. Behind them, Malvern Town came from behind to win 3-1 at already-relegated Tavistock AFC, whilst third-placed Portishead Town left it late to get a 1-1 draw at Larkhall Athletic.
Winchester City were 1-0 winners at Willand Rovers as Bishops Cleeve claimed a good 2-0 away success at Exmouth Town. Hot on their heels remain Shaftesbury who were commanding 4-0 winners over Falmouth Town.
All of the top five had a Good Friday in Division One Central. Leaders, Leighton Town, beat Hertford Town 2-0, whilst Hitchin Town were back into winning ways with a 3-0 triumph over London Lions.
Behind the top two, Biggleswade Town overcame the challenge of Beaconsfield Town by two goals to one as Biggleswade FC came home from Hadley with a 2-0 success to leave them ahead of fifth-placed Thame United on goal difference after they won 3-0 at Northwood.
