New Keeper Joins Farnborough

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South leaders Farnborough have signed goalkeeper Jack Turner from Isthmian League Premier Division side Cray Wanderers, for whom he made 21 appearances this season.

The 29-year-old joined the Wands in May from Vanarama National League South side Slough Town, where he had been since the summer of 2017 after signing from Staines Town.

He started his career in the youth team at Staines Town but left in 2007 to sign for AFC Wimbledon.

After being released at the end of the 2011/12 season, he re-joined Staines when he spent four excellent seasons, becoming renowned as one of, if not the best goalkeepers in the Isthmian League.

His kicking and shot-stopping are amongst his biggest assets, and he has been known to save a few penalties in his time, including 8 saves from 12 penalties faced in 2016/17.
