Chapman Pins Down Four Key Men

League newcomers continue to strengthen ahead of new challenge.

Danny Chapman, manager of Harlow Town, who will be playing in the Pitching In Southern Football League Division One Central in 2021/22, has continued to add to his squad with the retention of four key players from the previous campaign.

Left-sided defender/midfielder Ahmet Biler, George Doyle, Amar Lewis and Hector Mackie have all committed to the club.

Biler signed for the Hawks in August 2020.

He is a product of the Southend United academy and is a left-back who can also play on the left-wing, with plenty of pace and the ability to run with the ball.

Doyle also signed for Harlow in August 2020.

He is a hard-working central midfielder who has played for the likes of Aveley, Grays Athletic, Concord Rangers and Brightlingsea Regent.

Lewis, 22, is a Bermudan international forward who was previously with Thurlow Nunn League side Stanway Rovers before signing for Harlow in July 2019.

He has also been with Stowmarket Town and Brightlingsea Regent.

Mackie is the most experienced of the quartet.

The 33-year-old midfielder signed for Harlow in January 2020.

He came through the Tottenham Hotspur academy before having a number of trials with League clubs.

He signed for Stevenage Borough but failed to break into the first team and went on to feature for a number of clubs, mostly in the upper reaches of the non-League Pyramid, including Welling United, St Albans City, Bath City and Hayes & Yeading United, Wingate & Finchley.

More recently, he has been playing in Canada for Vaughan FC and Toronto Irish.

He returned to the Arena for a second spell, having been on the Hawks` books back in 2012/13.
