Lymington Town begin their new challenge in the Pitching In Southern Football League Division One South with a chance being given to the side who were performing to well in the Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Premier before lockdown.

The club have re-signed the majority of last season`s squad, including veteran striker Craig McAllister, who joined the club last season from former Wessex Premier rivals Alresford Town.

The now 41 but still very fit McAllister scored plenty of goals in non-League football for the likes of Basingstoke Town, Eastleigh, Woking, Sutton United and Gosport Borough, where he was also player-manager for a season.

Former AFC Totton and Southampton midfielder Nathan Hurst has also committed to Lymington for their new challenge, as has 22-year-old ex-Eastleigh striker Ollie Dennett.

Goalkeeper Ross Casey, 27, signed for Town in November 2016 after returning from a coaching stint in Spain.

He has experience in the Southern League with Winchester City and AFC Totton.

Sam House, 27, has been back at The Sports Ground for a year or so after moving to Poole Town from The Sports Ground in October 2018.

Among a handful of new arrivals are Arshia Sheibatzadeh, a 21-year-old quick and direct attacker who joins from Wessex One side Bemerton Heath Harlequins.

He had signed for Harlequins from Wessex Premier outfit Brockenhurst in July 2020.

He is Iranian by birth, but he has an excellent understanding of the English language.

Midfielder Ben Satterley is another to take the step up from the Wessex Premier with Lymington.

The 23-year-old joins from former league rivals Christchurch.

Young striker Sam Shearer, 18, also moves across from Brockenhurst.
