The 22-year-old signed for the Stags in May 2020 from Vanarama National League neighbours Eastleigh.
He was in Eastleigh’s first-team squad, making two substitute appearances for the Spitfires against Harrogate Town and Hartlepool United in 2019/20.
He spent a short time on loan at Blackfield & Langley in 2018/19 and again in 2019/20, when he played 23 times for the Watersiders.
He is the son of Olympic Silver and Commonwealth Gold Medalist, Peter Waterfield.
