Lymington Take Youngster From Grimsby

Pitching In Southern League Division One South club Lymington Town have taken young striker Callum Stratton on `work experience` from Vanarama National League side Grimsby Town.

Although on the face of it, this looks an unlikely move, given the distance between the Mariners and Lymington, the 18-year-old actually comes from the Southampton area and is currently on a two-year scholarship at Grimsby.

Prior to this, he spent three years with Championship side AFC Bournemouth from under-14 to under-16.

He is a quick, physical striker, who has an eye for goal and is very effective at pressing high and using his strength to disrupt defenders and hold up the ball.

He makes intelligent runs in behind defenders and causes lots of problems for opposing teams.
