Ducks Make it Through to Next Round

Wednesday evening saw another of the Pitching In Southern Football League clubs make progress in the Emirates FA Cup after a replay.

Division One Central club Aylesbury United made it through in their replay at The Meadow against Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division side Fairford Town.

But the Ducks had to come back from a 10th minute Kai Mahon goal down to make progress.

Experienced striker Dave Pearce equalised just shy of the hour-mark from the penalty spot after a foul on Owen James.

And then with just 3 minutes remaining of normal time, Jack Wood headed the Ducks into the next round.

Aylesbury United will now face Toolstation Western League Premier Division side Clevedon Town in the Preliminary Round at The Meadow.

The date is to be confirmed as landlords Chesham are at scheduled to be at home in the league on Saturday, 19th August.
