New Defender for Ducks

Pitching In Southern League Division One Central club Aylesbury United have signed defender Ayomide Akinbobola.

The 22-year-old joins the Ducks having spent pre-season with Vanarama National League South side Taunton Town.

Akinbobola spent the majority of the 2022/23 season with Daventry Town having been with Kempston Rovers since the summer of 2020 after impressing during a trial period.

He has played at MK College and was also with Dunstable Town.

Aylesbury manager Jack Wells told his club’s website: I’m pleased to welcome Ayo to the club. It's been clear from the season start we're a little off balance, and we need to be better defensively. Ayo gives us that, with an abundance of energy and ability”.
